Worried I'm balding...

Hi guys,

I'm 24 and I have always been known to have big hair. It's a cross between curly/wavy and quite floppy. When I was 18 I noticed that I was getting a maturing hairline and I don't that's changed since then, but I've noticed that I can see my scalp on top of my head. My hair on top is quite long right now and it's always been unruly, it tends to part where it wants to and is different daily.
From some angles it's really not noticeable and some I feel like it is. It doesn't feel particularly thinner at the crown than at the sides. I feel like I'm getting early stages of balding and it's really bringing me down. Ive always been so proud of my hair. I've researched treatments and the ones that I can afford seem to have unpleasant side affects.

No before pictures but the back may be getting thinner. Rogaine would be a good start and most people have no side effects.
