5% liquid Rogaine vs. Rogaine foam 5%
Which is supposed to be more effective? I decided to add minox into my regiment and was leaning towards the foam since its not messy but then I heard the liquid may have better results. Is there a real difference in effectiveness?

I understand the liquid uses propylene glycol as a vehicle which is pretty good from what I read (minus potential skin irritation) but I cannot find what vehicle the foam uses. Even though foam is newer I understand it may not necessarily be better :(

thoughts? ps I would only be applying it to my hairline and I have short hair so either one would penetrate my scalp...

I use the foam in the morning and liquid at night. I've heard the liquid is more effective, but my guess is that the difference (if any) is negligible. I have short hair and have no issues applying either. After around 3 years of use, I'm not sure how effective it's been on my hairline (I have pretty good vertex coverage), but I'm a bit scared to discontinue and suffer a potential loss. Maybe it's helping me maintain and I doubt it could be making things worse.

that's pretty good then that's its at least maintained what you have. What do you do though if you are going out on a Friday night and have to put liquid minox in (since it never really dries)?

Any other responses as to which is more effective?

I usually apply the liquid at night a couple hours before bed. I really don't have any issues with it staying wet for more than a few minutes. I'm using Kirkland generic. My hair is practically buzzed. I just apply it between the vertex and front and rub it in for a bit.

I also have and use both kirkland liquid and foam. I have not seen any documentation which indicates one is more affective than the other. I prefer using the liquid since it doesn't dry right away. I make myself believe the longer it is on the more affective it is. Most likely not true though. I use the foam when I am going out because it dries within a few minutes.
