Treatment Suggstions, Including Lasers

I am 64 and my hair is getting increasingly thinner on the top and sides; part widening and severe receding hairline on both sides. Based on my dermatologist's advice, I have been using 5% Minoxidil every other day for about 4 years, and it has not helped at all, but I continue to use it. I am very self-conscious about my thinning hair and wonder if anyone knows of a product or treatment that may work. I have heard about laser treatments and wonder if that would stimulate growth. Any ideas??
