Ready for HT shave or not to shave?
Hello I am 30 in July and I have been slowly receding for around 8 years, I've been on the big 3 on and off for all that time and been on dutasteride for about 2 years.

I'm currently around an NW2 and think I'm ready to have a HT

I've been researching doctors and my top choice is Dr Koray Erodgan his work is excellent.

Ideally I'd like to shave the back and sides but keep the length on top to cover the hair transplant until it grows out.

Does anyone know if not shaving the top could affect the end result? As it's harder to place the grafts in between existing hairs?

Also if I shave fully the price is 2.50 Euro per graft, if I don't shave the top it's 3 Euro per graft approx 2500 grafts.

Would it be ok to shave the thinning part in red so it's easier for the HT surgeon to put the grafts in, and then keep the thick hair on top long so I can brush it forward to hide the transplant.

The blue line is where I'd like my hairline.
