(20M) Am i losing my hair?
Hey guys. I usually shed anywhere from 3-8 hairs in the shower, and a few more on the towel. To test my hair, I rubbed it pretty vigorously for about a minute and got 15 hairs on my desk. However, I'm getting worried because I'm noticing some hair on my pants and on my desk when I'm working. Not sure if I'm becoming hyper aware of it or not.

Here are some pics. First 2 are from my hairline has a kid, the next is from 3 years ago, and all of the rest are from today.

For my family history, my dad has a perfect head of hair in his 50s, so did my paternal grandfather. On the other hand, my maternal grandfather lost his hair REALLY early although his pattern was completely different than mine I think?

Also, I want to mention I went to the derm a few months ago and she said I wasn't balding, but I'm not sure about that.

Hello, looks like very minor recession to me, nothing to worry about. Crown looks fine. 3 hairs in the shower… 15 hairs on the desk after running your hand through it… this really doesn't mean anything (apologies not trying to belittle your concern) we lose 100 hairs a day, everyday. Way too early to be worried about it anything. All the best

I feel like this shedding has increased though. Over the summer my shedding increased, then a few weeks ago it basically went down to zero, and now im shedding a bit more again.

Unless you are waking up with 30+ hairs on your pillow or losing hand fulls in the shower it is nothing to be concerned about. You may have some miniaturisation of hairs around the temples, you could get a derm to check for miniaturization with a microscope if you are really concerned.

Yeah I think I do have some miniaturization there, I don't think it extends beyond the hairline really but I'll get it checked out.
