    Dermapen cutting like a blade?
Hey guys. I'm writing after having tried to use my new dermapen at 2.0 mm.

Last time I used it at 1.5 and it looked kind of fine. I read that 2.0 mm wouldn't pose a risk so I tried. And even though I didn't get any sort of strong pain, I realized that the dermapen had cut my scalp like I was passing a blade through it, rather than piercing small dots.

My theory is that my dermapen does not do the up-and-down with enough width, so as I move the pen with a 2.0 setting, the needles never get to come out of my scalp, and they sort of "ploughing through" my scalp instead of piercing vertically.

    1) Do you think this could be the problem? Is it a problem of the blades or the pen?

    2) Do you think that this kind of wounding could cause hair loss?

    3) Do you know if more expensive dermapens have a wider up-and-down distance range?

I attach two pictures for reference.
    Looking forward for your advice!
