9 months on finasteride no results

hi guys,
its been 9 months since i started finasteride. at first i was taking 1mg for 8 months and just recently started taking 1.25mg for obvious reasons. My hair has continued to slowly thin at the temples and is doing so at a steady rate. so far finasteride hasn't had any obvious impact on my hairline. After 3 months I stopped shedding completely but start back again at month 6, so I started nizoral aswell. this shed is still occuring but isnt as bad as when it first started. So my question is, Do you think I still have a good chance to have a good response to finasteride or should keep my hopes down? Should I also start minoxidil to halt further thinning in m hairline? Or should I wait another 3-4 months?

You could just be seeing the effects of the shed, but it's possible that your loss is progressing and the drug isn't working for you. Unfortunately it's impossible to say for sure.

I think it was too soon and unnecessary to up the dose at this stage.
