Balding or Mature Hair line ? PHOTOS
Hi im 17 year old men , half italian ( from my father) half latin (form my mother) my father has a very nice hairline but very thin hair (he is 63 years old) in my mother side 80% have full head of hair .

i started to think im going bald since my half brother from father side como to see me for the first time at his 34 he is bald and i mean bald no hair in the top of the head he is norwood 6

i se my photos when i was like 10 years old and i use to have a women hair line, it was a round hair line with no corners but now is wierd is like a norwood 1

my hair is really really thick but i see the photo of my half brother at 18 years old and have a straight hair line and thick hair 2 but he is bald now at his 34

I want to know if this is balding or mature hair line because i know i dont have this hair line at 10.. thanks you !

Unfortunately the only way to really tell if it's a mature hairline is if it stays like that and doesn't get any worse. You'll have to keep a close eye on it. Your hair (as you say) is very thick and I don't see any tell-tale signs of loss along the front. You have great hair.

    Thanks you so much doctor.

i have some photos from 9 months ago and my hair line look the same but i dont know how much time have to past so i can see if im balding like 1 year or 2 years

wath i mean is if i take a photo of my hair in 2 years from now and it look the same that means im not balding ? or in how much time from now i can tell if im balding or if it is a mature hair line like in 3 or 5 years ?

    Thanks you again :)

I'm not a doctor. I represent a hair transplant doctor, but I also get involved in discussions with people, like you, who have absolutely no need for a transplant.

Balding can be a slow process and is quite unpredictable. If your hair looks the same after a few years then that will obviously be great, but it doesn't mean that in, say, five years time you might not lose more hair.

Age 17 is quite young to get a 'mature hairline'. You should keep an eye on it and if you lose any more hair start taking propecia.

Danilo, you seem to have great hair. It's good to see that mattj-a dr. representative-is giving you the right advice. You're too young for an HT. Keep monitoring it and if you notice things getting worse, make an appointment with a dermatologist to see if at your age you qualify for meds.

    Goodluck!
