Working Out The “Kinks": ARTAS 2016

When The ARTAS Hair Transplant System was first cleared for use by the FDA in 2011 some in the field, including Spencer Kobren, were not all that impressed with the performance of that first generation robot. While the technology itself was impressive, the limitations that existed did not make it the best option compared to what many FUE surgeons were able to offer their patients at the time.

Fast forward to 2016 and the ARTAS is a very different machine that appears to be improving monthly. Dr. Gabe Zingaretti, Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Restorations Robotics and lead developer of the ARTAS sits down to speak with Spencer Kobren about the Robots evolution and where it is today compared to 2011.
