Most of the top hair transplant surgeons in the world are in the IAHRS, but that does not mean that your surgeon didn’t do a good job. It’s just a waiting game now so be positive and things should work out just fine. Please keep us posted.
Really appreciate it Winston thanks! For years I've been reading this forum, and others, never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd actually be 1 of the ones who went with the transplant. Still gonna wait a couple more hours until my 1st shower...I keep bitching about how nervous I am with water hitting my scalp for the 1st time, but I'm just gonna be as gentle as possible with the cup that i pour the water from.
2 days down only 8 months and 28 days to go! haha!

As long as you wash the area with water from a cup gently - you will be ok. No worries. It is normal to worry alot about the grafts. The next 3 weeks are difficult as you will have lots of scraps and thereafter a long period of redness.
I slept the first many nights using a U-shaped pillow and slept on my back - to be honest - the most important part is not to scratch your recipient area, sleeping on your side or back - probably do not matter most as long as you do not push your newly planted grafts out of place.
Anyway don't be to hard on yourself, your reactions are all normal.
Keep us posted and update your thread with pictures every month and ask questions if you need clarity.

Thanks so much!! Last question about the shower, I PROMISE. When I'm in the shower and pouring he cup of water on my head, should I look down, (bend my head down) and then pour the water? Or keep it normal angle? The doc said to look down, but I dont think its hurt to ask you guys also.

WOW i knew to expect the swollen areas around the eyes, but this is nuts. Looks like I've been in a boxing fight LOL.

This can be from the result of the effect of gravity pulling the fluids that were injected into your scalp downward into the forehead area and yes even further down. Obviously some of it can be from the trauma as well, but IMHO, it's probably more the fluids, saline, etc.
It should begin to subside in several days, but certainly inform your surgeon too!
