    Genetics
    Hi everyone,

How much do you think genetics plays a part in balding?

My father, his father, my mother's father and my mother's brother all have a full head of hair. However, my mother's father's brothers are bald. I have asked my dad to send a pic of his hairline (51 years old) and his very slight recession is almost identical to mine.

I do think mine may be more receded/thinner than my fathers but maybe not.

    How should I view this?

    Cheers,
    Scott

It really depends. It's also your hormones, stress, etc. If there is a very STRONG line of balding, on both sides, then probably a lot. If you are thinning like another member of your family, there is a likelihood you will follow in their footsteps.
