Pre-mature Norwood 4 at the age of 26?
Was Norwood 3 for quite sometime. Now, I have a birthmark on my left temple which I started to follow during the beginning of my last semester. Now the birth mark has become fully visible due to the receding hairline. Currently using 2% Nizoral and Minox foam.

Also, does this message board not allow members to send private messages?

After reading this board and Dr Rasemans (?) I have concluded that I don't understand how to read the NW stages.

With that said you do look like you have had a lot of regrowth compared to your older pics so the minox must be working for you.

I think you need to have made a certain amount of posts before you can use the PM function. What that number is I don't know.

It's tough to tell how much change there's been (whether for the better or for the worst) because of the difference in hair length. I'd say you're still around a NW3 though. A NW3 with diffuse thinning.

    Hi JJacobs152

I agree it is difficult to tell if there is improvement or if it is getting worse. From this picture, it does look like a Norwood 3 with diffuse thinning. I am guessing from these two threads that you have been treating your hair loss for about a year. If that is correct, it may still be too soon to tell if you are going to improve or simply arrest the loss. Are you working with a doctor or are you doing this on your own? Are you also taking Finasteride?

    Take care,

    Tracy

    Tracy,

Look at his first picture from last year. I know his hair is longer now, but doesn't it look way more miniaturized in that older picture? I wouldn't think he could grow it out as much as he has if it was still so miniaturized?

That's something I wish I didn't hear. I wish my hair loss would follow the typical hairless pattern. It was fine while it was receding at the temples, but now the diffuse pattern has kicked in.

Tracy, thanks posting. I was actually pretty neglectful on the hair loss and only started to get proactive about it from last August. Started to put Minox. foam before going to bed. The pictures in the old thread was after I had shaved my head and let it grow out for a few weeks.

I am going to start on Fin in 2 weeks. Using Nizoral 2%, minox. foam, and will have the last piece of the triad.

Yeah, I hope my hair doesn't get to that.
