starting minoxidil today

I have been so stressed out lately as my hair loss has been very rampant lately, I started DUT 3 weeks ago, this is my second go at DUT so I do not have much hope for it.

I know I should give DUT a little bit more of a go before I jump into any other treatments but I am thinning so fast I can't wait 3 months just to see that the medication is not working again. I'm shedding to much to wait.

I never touched minoxidil before but I am going to try 5% today, tomorrow, or the next day (whenever I get the nerve) I know it won't work as well as a dht blocker but I'm hoping it will work synergistically with the DUT.

Why am I nervous? because of the initial shed.
