Finasteride's effect on muscle bulk / gaining

Quick question: I know it's been discussed before, but does anyone have some useful thoughts about whether finasteride will interfere with your ability to gain or develop muscle? I've been out of the gym since I started finasteride in September, and I'm going to start up again next week; I just want to know in advance whether the drug is going to make it more difficult to add bulk.

I don't believe this is true, if you eat the right amount of calories your suppose too and work out hard you'll bulk up. I'm on fin and I gain about 5 pounds of muscle with out even wanting too, I'm 6'1, 210.

I think as has been said before, Testosterone is active in muscle tissue and DHT is quickly metabolized if it gets in there and so doesn't contribute much/anything to muscle growth. Because DHT is synthesized from T, it is likely that you will actually get a slight boost in muscle mass, but your strength may suffer as DHT strengthens nerve connectivity. I think that's right. In any case DHT is not meaningfully active in muscles.
