    1 1/2 Years Off Propecia
    Hi All,

Just here to share. No pics, sorry. I was on propecia for 3 years (1mg/day) and the results were spectacular. I was more a diffuse thinner with curly hair and I started right as I started noticing the thinning in my crown area. Anyhow, propecia transformed my hair as it went from limp to healthy & thick.

    Today

It's almost exactly 1 1/2 years off propecia. I got off simply from a personal safety point of view. I was worried about potential long-term sides. In the year & a half since I have lost a lot of hair. nodody has yet mentioned anything (i.e. "hey, your hair is thinning) but that day is coming soon. Now, my hair is limp and struggles to grow. Styling it is starting to become impossible and soon I will have to accept that I can no longer maintain mid-length hair. The only option will be a shorter hair look.

A day doesn't go by where I debate getting back on propecia but I just wish the potential side effects were different. I know that most women generally don't care about men losing hair but it still sucks.

    anyhow, just needed to share.

    Thanks.

You had no sides, you regrew a lot of hair, why get off?

If anything mentally you have been affected worse off since getting off as you are depressed that you are losing hair.
