    Questions on hair system?
I've been thinking about getting a hair system, but I don't really know how to go about it. I live in Canada and am not really sure what I should do. Also wondering if they come off really easily and is it possible to get one to replace the hairline? Mine has receded. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The best advice I can give you is to find a reputable place that sells prosthetic pieces for medical hair loss. Don't buy on the web, especially your first time. You need the personal attention you will get from a reputable professional. You need to be fitted properly, you need color matching and you need to make sure the styling is natural for you. You also need the education in maintenance and such. You can't get all that from a web based wig/hairpiece retailer.

I agree with the last post. In addition make sure you are absolutely ready before you make the decision. They usually need to shave a track in the good hair area to bond (glue) the hair system to it. Once you do this the committment has been made. You would have to shave your whole head if you changed your mind.

Thank you both for your answers. That kind of sucks that they would have to shave part of my good hair for the system to be bonded on, but I guess it makes sense. I am starting to reconsider getting one it though, after looking up pictures and videos on hair systems, some of the scalps I've seen look really unhealthy after having hair systems on them, they looked very irritated and as if a layer of skin was removed along with the system when they took it off. :/ But again thank you both very much for the info, I appreciate it.

It is always better to know all of the details before making a important decision. Of ten when someone is trying to sell you something they choose to tell only the positive details and not mention the negatives. Good luck.
