$3000 for 30 plucked hairs

quit with the conspiracy theories already .. it aint $100 a hair, its so ridiculous Dr Hitzig shouldnt even waste his time to clarify.

rapunzal you could very well be right. But this person Marcus did seem to be pretty sure of himself and he also seems to have been around for a very long time. I guess we will know in time.

You are both right but i also think that it was PRP and the test side because nobody would charge 100 dollars per hair come on guys not even Dr Armani charges that amount and that means something :-)

But one thing is sure instead of doing monkey business and go one step beyond and two steps back, they should just grab their balls and go for the plucking thing in general and not only two docs.

Cause i can say one thing for sure when this technique works perfectly a lot of people will be like " Gosh why couldnt they have worked on this in 2010 or 2011"

Btw i would appreciate if someone would do the plucking thing for free just to test it on topcat, cause if topcat says "Ok this works, i think we have the best prove for a long time"

At this point in time i would give topcat the most credibility around hairloss forums, i wish, i really wish that regarding you, one thing would lead to another, and in the end i could say " Well Bro i told you so" :-)

I heard the show and Marcus clearly said that it was $100 per hair. Maybe it included PRP and Acell, but that’s not how he made it out to be.

maybe marcus forgot to mention that each plucked follicle was also going to be gold plated at the same time

This topic is getting a bit one-sided. I don't want to defend Dr Hitzig in any way; $3k is obviously way off for a test procedure. However, two points:

1. A very small procedure will, naturally, have a quite high per unit (hair/graft) price, since it has to cover the fixed costs involved. For instance, I believe Dr Bernstein charges $5k for an eyebrow transplant. That's about 50-200 hair follicles, and thus roughly the same per unit price as what Dr Hitzig is asking for.

2. Dr Hitzig would likely not earn any significant amount more if the autocloning procedure would become a success, since he doesn't hold any patents. I have a hard time seeing how the advent of autocloning would drive up demand in any substantial way. If it infact does, the resulting profit would be split between all the physicians utilizing this new technique (i.e. pretty many).
