This guy is my age (50), speaks my somewhat country-ish language, and is an all around man's man. He had a medium sized crown deficit and underwent 1800 grafts of his fairly fine, yet curly hair 10 months ago.
Interestingly he did not tell his family he had surgery but that he has been praying for hair--which is why he wouldn't let me video his face in the accompanying video.
He keeps his hair quite short...which doesn't help a crown hair transplant...recall we are not able to pack hair as tight as the scalp originally had...and styling and layering (not comb-overing) really are important...particularly in the crown where hair splays out in all directions.
Shown are day of surgery, 3 month check where he'd shed everything (I got to drive his bulldozer at the scar check...hence these pics are outdoors), and 10 months, the day after a haircut. His scar looks good and we'll see him at the end of the summer for final pics.
