HT Consultation with Dr. DiStefano from CT
I had a consultation with dr. DiStefano, his consultator went on about he is the BEST dr. in the world.. etc etc..

they told me 3000 grafts, itll be strip, if they get more than 3k it will be free..

it totaled around 8k for everything..

What do you guys know about this doctor.. should I go through with it, with him?

    Is the price good?

    Anything would help..

    Never heard of him.

Price certainly isn't what you'd expect of "the best in the world".

I read a thread on this doctor on the HTN forum and it was generally positive. However, with something as important as a HT, I wouldn't personally be taking any chances. I think you need to search all these forums for more info. before making a decision. If in doubt, keep doing more research and put off surgery.

If there is nothing good about him here, you should keep looking.

    Still-Researching
Keep researching - I can see you have not done enough, not because I know the doctor, but simply from your questions. (I spend years and I do not know the doctor you are mentioning - scary and he is not recommended here)

Good luck, when you are cut in the back with a strip surgery and used 3000+ grafts of your donor, your chances will be low of even the best docs in the world giving you the perfect result you were looking for when you had a "virgin" scalp.

This is not like bleaching teeth or having a mole removed - this can be life changing in both ways - fantastic if done well and awful to the level where even your neighbors will feel sorry for you.

Spend your time and keep saving up and then find a doctor that has several results documented on several forums, and where you have seen the results live and you are happy with it.

If you are in doubt of the doctor stay away - even if he is praised by some.
Save up 50% more and go for H&W, Rahal, Feller, Feriduni or... ( look at the IAHRS list) do not let travelling distance be the deciding factor.
    Best of luck
