    Shedding or losing transplanted hair
So I'm about a year and a half from my second hair transplant with no complaints about my results also been on fin for a while with no problems.

But very recently I've started to lose hair I believe only in the transplanted areas along the hairline and just behind has clearly thinned out.

There is no native hair in these areas so its only new hair that's gone and it all happened very quickly I had a haircut and it was all OK and as it grew back balding patches were appearing it took about two weeks.

So I'm just wandering what could be happening .

Hello tj2014, do you have any news about your situation? I have the same thing after 3 years of hair transplant, suddenly i lost a lot of transplanted hair in 4 months, over 50%...

The sudden bald patches are definitely something that should be discussed with your surgeon, as that does not sound normal.

However, seasonal shedding (which this doesn't appear to be) is completely normal and nothing to be alarmed of. Every hair goes through it's on "sleep phase" so to speak, and there are periods where your hair will shed more than others. When this happens, take note of it, don't stress out, and ride out the wave... With time, you'll start to understand your hair cycles better and recognize them when they occur.
