Dr. Lindsey Female 1600 graft part-line and central frontal case at 22 months, McLean
This lady called saying she wanted to stop by and show me her results. I’ve posted many times my reservations in doing hair cases on female patients. But this lady was ideal. She had a focal problem that was amenable to improvement. She could conceal the shaved area, after a week, by changing her part-line, and despite having very fine hair, she had a good donor density.

Pictures show preop, intraop, 1 week, 1 month scar check with her hair covering and then uncovering the red recipient area, and 22 months. Given that hair grows at about half an inch a month, it takes a long time to really see the results in a female patient with longer hair. Thus, a 22 month followup really was a great time frame, as compared to the 12 month female followup I recently posted.

She promised me that she’d come on the forum and post her experience…and hopefully she’ll come on soon and tell her story.
