    Post Op Smoking
    Hello,

I'm 28 and had 1900 grafts done for hairline restoration. I didnt follow the post op instructions (no smoking fod 2 weeks) and smoke 2 packs of cigarettes over the weekend. I did thid at the 11 day mark, which waz close, but im still worried.

I've been able to mostly abstain since, but the worry is there. Please help!

I don't think just those 2 days will effect anything but i definitely would try to stop. You got a transplant to try to look better but the smoking will age you well before your time and make you look like a old man at 50. I know it is extremely difficult to quit so best of luck.

Thanks! I feel really stupid for doing so, but what's done is done. Yeah I'm using the transplant as an opportunity to quit.

I can't imagine it'll cause you any problems, but read Allen Carr's EasyWay To Quit Smoking! You'll feel better for quitting, I promise.

I don't want to admit this because everyone is different and smoking is generally bad for you. But I am a heavy smoker. At least a pack a day of cigarettes. I smoked that much leading up to the day of my surgery. I smoked in the morning up until my surgery. The day after my surgery. All throughout the ugly duckling stage. Once hair started sprouting, I smoked then too. Now at 11 months, I still smoke heavily. Basically, I never stopped or slowed down my smoking habits at all.

My yield has been excellent. Again, everyone is different. And us smokers really shouldn't smoke.

If you want to quit smoking I would suggest not to stop. Just find something to replace it like sport. That should help.

Same as you. Smoked half pack per day and smoked one morning of procedure. Resumed 3 days later 5-12 cigarettes per day and am not day 14.

Last year I vaped heavily 2 days after procedure and switched to cigarettes later that year. I got excellent results the first procedure, and was worrying about this second one.
