    About Histogen’s Hair Stimulating Complex
    From Histogeninc.com

Histogen's Hair Stimulating Complex (HSC) is a proprietary liquid formula created by the culturing of newborn fibroblasts in an embryonic-like environment and then harvesting the naturally secreted growth factors, proteins and other synergistic bioproducts that are produced. It is the first naturally stabilized and bioactive formulation of Wnt proteins and natural cofactors.

Histogen's HSC is currently being developed and evaluated an injectable for hair growth. The combination of Wnt proteins and growth factors making up the formulation have been shown to both stimulate resting hair follicles and induce new follicle formation.

any news when this will be available to the public or perhaps participate in one of their clinical trials. The research appears to be very promising.

Histogen said it should be out in Asia by 2013, and the US by 2015. How accurate their prediction is remains to be seen....

Also, the clinical trials will be conducted in Asia, in countries like Singapore, Korea, Hong Kong etc.

Personally I am pretty hopeful that it will be out in Asia by 2013, since it appears to be rather safe, though the short clinical trials do give us cause for worry.

The 1st hair growth product to come to market will be the german version, they are about to start trials very soon. It'll come to market 2 years after the trials, it has less restrictions because of the method used.

Which one are you talking about?

And what you mean by 1st hair growth product? Aren't minoxidil and finasteride hair growth products? They do promote hair growth in some people. Or are you talking about first hair growth product to put the new stem cell discoveries to use?

    Growing Up
Is it me or are the 1 year later photos not great?
Looking on Histogens own site the Hair Stimulating Complex (HSC) pilot clinical trial one year results, most of the hair seems to have grown a bit longer not really many new follicles anyway, so not a miracle cure really?

Also am I right in thinking this involves injecting into scalp?

Is this good news for people like me, NW7s that is, or would it also only work for NW1s and NW2s? What do you think?

I believe the key is the growth factors, so they maybe on the right track. With your growth factors decreasing from mid to late 20's and skin and hair also decreasing from this age growth factors must play an important role - its just common sense.

Just spoke to someone at Histogen still in the process of doing phase trials. When I asked if it would be available this year she said no and not 2018 either...maybe 2019. I have now lost all hope for Histogen and don't think it will ever be released.

a Jolla’s Histogen has begun clinical testing of a hair regrowth treatment in women.

    The in

jected treatment contains stem cell secretions that stimulate hair follicles. An earlier version is already being tested in men.

    inRead invented by Teads
The early-stage or Phase 1 trial is taking place at the La Jolla clinic of Dr. Kimberly Butterwick, a dermatologist. Women interested in taking part in the trial can call 858-657-1004 for more information.

About 30 million American women are affected by hair loss, according to the National Institutes of Health. This most often occurs with menopause, along with autoimmune disease, and cancer chemotherapy.

Gail Naughton, Histogen’s founder and chief scientific officer, said about two-thirds of these women might benefit from the treatment, called HSC660,

The study will treat 27 women in a randomized, blinded, placebo-controlled fashion to assess safety. In addition, researchers will look for signs of efficacy.

The trial will run for 22 weeks, so the results will be known before year’s end, she said.

“We are planning after this trial a trial for women who are in late-stage ovarian cancer,” Naughton said.

Naughton she had originally believed that hair loss must be a minor factor to patients when confronting a life-threatening disease. But an oncologist helping plan the trial told that hair loss is “emotionally traumatizing” to many women.

“He said, Gail, you don’t understand. The first question they ask me is, am I going to have chemo? The second question they ask, is am I going to lose my hair?”

Studies have shown that patients do better when they don’t look sick, Naughton said. And losing hair is a sign of sickness that’s impossible to overlook.

Privately held Histogen is in more advanced testing of an earlier version of HSC660 in men. This version was also tested in five women by an independent researcher. All five regenerated hair.

A late-stage or Phase 3 trial for men has begun in Mexico, Naughton said. Anticipating success, the company is looking toward commercialization.

“We're in very late-stage negotiations with some huge retail partners,” Naughton said. A deal should be concluded in the next few months, she said.

Histogen produces its stem cells from skin cells called fibroblasts. These stem cells exude substances called growth factors. They are known to cause dormant follicles to resume hair production, and maintain the new hair.

Histogen converts the fibroblasts by placing them into simulated embryonic conditions, including suspending them in liquid and low oxygen. The cells revert to a partially embryonic state, which causes them to emit the growth factors.

More information about Histogen’s treatments can be found at j.mp/histogen.

Hi, I'm glad to read this from you because I have been suffering from coin hair loss for some time and this made me very sad because I had tried every treatment but it was not cured.
I consulted various doctors for this issue many times, but there was not much treatment for me.
I just remember that once in a beauty salon https://www.beautster.com/cat/men/mens-haircut/ when I went for a haircut, one of the consultants there told me a few words about this issue and I followed up on this issue. . Of course, he used hair care methods for me there, which I was satisfied with and it worked well for me.
But I live in Canada. You can guide me on how to use this definitive treatment for myself.
