    Donor Area Questions post FUE
    Hi,

20 days ago I had 3000 FUE grafts in a single day procedure. I love the hairline the doctor created and am looking forward to seeing the results in the coming months. I do have a question however regarding my donor area. As you can see by the picture, my donor area is quite thin, and you can see the shape of the area from which they extracted the grafts. Does anyone know if the appearance of this will improve? Will I gain some more hair making the area thicker again?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

    August
If only 20 days has passed then you´re very likely to see some more improvement of your donor over the next weeks/months.
It will not be as dense as before but surely a little bit denser than it is now.

For your safety, Keep an eye on it and document it month to month. It should recover in few months, but I know folks that are still waiting for it to recover 1+ Year post op. Some have even gone for repairs from procedures varying in small to large size. Several factors can contribute, how close extractions were, tools used, experienced doctor extractions, overall surgical protocol. Hopefully, this is just temporary. Give it at least 6 months and how it looks. Do you have any immediate post op donor photos? Best of luck, but the normal take is it should recover so you do not see the halo, give it few months.

Sorry for the slow reply. It cost just more than 15 thousand dollars. I will do a full thread with details etc once it's fully grown in.

Happy to see it's already improving. I believe you'll find that the more time that passes the more the donor area will continue to thicken back up. I experienced what you did in the beginning, but a couple years out now from my hair transplant and you would never know there are 2,000 less grafts in the back of my head.
