Dr. Lindsey 1 year out from 2000 grafts to 64 year old crown McLean VA
This nice medical professional travelled to see me for crown work. Shown are day of surgery pictures, 1 week postop, 1 month scar check and 12 month views with and without flash. He looks fantastic and had an unremarkable recovery…other than hitting his head on the door of his ride…dislodging 20 grafts or so which were replaced immediately.
A unique postop result is that his donor hair, and thus his “new crown hair” is significantly thicker and wirier than his native somewhat miniaturizing top and frontal hairs are. Thus, in pictures, but not in person (unless you are really looking for this), it’s easy to see where his transplant occurred. Once I pointed this out…(even though this fellow has an astute medical eye for detail) he queried whether he should have a little procedure down his part line and at the front. I believe he looks quite natural and encouraged him to sit tight for now.
I’ve seen this in a few younger guys with really luxurious donor hair and weak temple or middle third hair…it’s an important preop discussion topic in these guys.
