Dr. Dauer- 2521 Grafts FUE- Norwood 6
    Greetings,

Here is a patient of mine who is a Norwood 6 with very fine straight hair. He underwent a very small FUE procedure in the past with another physician and he was looking to create significantly more density in the frontal scalp, mid scalp, and crown. Despite the fact that this is a very large area of space to cover with just over 2500 grafts, I maintained a very conservative hairline in order to maximize density results. The patient also had slightly below normal donor density which is why I opted to not take more grafts in this session. I keep all the follicular units intact as opposed to dissecting the 2-4 hair grafts into smaller follicular units in order to maximize cosmetic density. I use only natural single hair grafts in the hairline.

I used a 0.8mm motorized punch to extract the grafts and performed every extraction personally. The recipient sites were created with flat blades (0.6mm-0.9mm) and they were all coronal incisions.

Despite the very short haircut that the patient wears, he is thrilled with his results and wants to have another procedure in the near future for even more cosmetic density.
