3 year followup on 2 midsized strip cases on a challenging head, Dr. Lindsey McLean V
Long time forum members may recall this fellow. He’s become a friend of the practice. We did about 2500 grafts on him, and he left, leaving 200+ grafts “on the table” due to him not being able to sit still. He shaved his head for about a year and we did a second case…same story. He grew in, and we did a small FUE and he finally was able to figure out how to stay still. Nevertheless, he’s been a frequent visitor and has sent in several patients. He’s a masseuse and has given the techs massages for Christmas presents and is a really nice fellow.

He’s a particularly tough case however, as he has a very large head and large bald area, very fine hair with limited donor potential, and he won’t stay still for a complete case… But, he’s really done quite well and looks good…in that he doesn’t look like the bald guy we started with and most importantly he is happy.
He stopped by Friday to visit and I got a couple of candid pictures of him talking with Wendy, our lead tech, inside and out in front of the office. A few of his preop and previously posted pics are shown too.

I would think a masseuse is the type of person who would just melt into a chair--or perhaps I'm thinking of yoga instructor...

Sorry that circumstances did not permit utilization of all the grafts, but a happy patient is a happy patient. In other words, a success.

    Yes Flow, you'd think that.

But people are hard to predict....
