3500 grafts - advice on progress
    Hi guys.

Newbie here looking for some advice.

Had a FUE 8 weeks and 6 days ago. Have seen minor sporadic growth but early days and nothing significant. I have a question on follicle rejection and shock loss, that you lovely peeps might be able to advise on!

Is it normal to reject follicles and if so, what number is in the acceptable norm. Over the last couple of weeks I've had a number of 'crusts on the head' which eventually fall off - see pic

Also, I wanted to ask about shock loss. In my donor area my hair looks 'streaky' and i have a few areas like pic below. Is this shock loss?

Hopefully Spence will answer you. Looks like he might of harvested too much from those areas but i don't know.

I'm hoping it's just shock loss but it had crossed my mind!

    Anyone lend an opinion?

It might be cause from harvesting so much from a particular recipent area. I donot hope you are facing it. Did you talk with your doctor?

I did ask the clinic and they said it is shock loss...

...but keeping my cynical head on, I assumed that is the line they would go with so I was after opinions here.

Also, regarding the other questions, is it normal.to lose the odd graft to crusty, scabbing events?

I have had a Google and it does concern me that my 'bald' patch in the picture didn't shed, it was there from day one and never grew. I have taken daily photos until day 30 and then weekly for my own records. I'm now on day 63.

Spex, I wonder if you could pass an opinion on both the 'bald patch at the back' and also on Crusty grafts falling out at the minute.

    Thanks.

Anyone? Just after some ideas and thoughts from people who have had transplants??

Just a bit anxious about theses issues.

    1) The bald spot in picture - anyone know if that's shock loss or over harvesting? I'm concerned that the previous two comments have mentioned overharvesting?
    2) hard crusts developing which results in loss of hair / and follicle? (other pic)
    3) Also. I have been developing spots after two months. I've tried to leave them alone but they have become inflamed and when I pierced them with a sterile pin as advised the seed has come out with the hair (and follicle?). Is it just the hair or can you lose follicles via a boil after two months?

Really, any advice or opinions would be welcomed...

    Anyone??

Or if this page is not very busy can someone recommend the best place to ask opinions of those who have been through it? Thanks

It realy depends on your shock loss. Don't worry. If it is not, you can have smal seasion to cover that area.

    Hey man,

Sorry im overseas on family holiday and offline for a while so sorry for the delay. All looks ok so nothing out of the ordinary. Ride it out and try not stress. Time will tell but nothing too strange from what I can see.

    Regards
