How I considerbly slowed my hair loss.
I have been fighting hairloss for over three years. I've been using 1mg Finasteride daily, Rogaine, Nizoral, and a few DS labs products off and on. Even though I feel I have kept more hair using these drugs I was still losing at least 30 hairs a day, some days up to 100. I was so distraught by this I would sometimes close my eyes while shampooing. My scalp was sore and itchy most days, and the sorer my scalp was the more hair I lost. I went to a Dermatologist to talk about my scalp problems. She told me my scalp "looked perfectly normal", and referred me to a Neurologist. The Neurologist said this is common problem with people with MPB. The Neurologist said the pain was most likely do to overactive nerves, similar to what cause migraines. He prescribed me Gabapentin for neurological pain. The pain wasn't bad enough to take meds for, and would do nothing for hair loss so I decided not to take them. So I started to try a few things on my own to reduce inflammation and hopefully hairloss. In a nut shell I stopped using Nizoral, and switched to an organic shampoo every other day. I also started using Omega 3 Fish Oil, and CoQ10 both natural inflammation fighters. Ginkgo twice a day to increase blood circulation to the scalp. Finally I use a topical product that contains copper peptides, also a natural anti-inflammatory. After about a month I now only loose 3-10 per day hairs per shower. These herbs and vitamins are cheap and in my opinion worth a try if your not if the big three aren't working for you. I started Latesse a week a go in hopes of further slowing hair loss and maybe thicken up the temples (I'm about a norwood 2). I will post before and after picks in a month or two.
