    Scars from Dr. Rahal?
I've read through the jorunals here and it seems like Dr. Rahal really know what he's doing. However, after you've done a hair transplatation with him, did it leave you a visible scar? I want to have the ability to cut my hair short after the transplantation.

All hair transplant surgery causes a certain amount of trauma to the scalp, and the resulting scar is never completely invisible if you're looking for it. I feel I should say that first. However, in the right hands, the scar should be quite hard to find, even under close examination when parting the hair, and not noticeable under everyday conditions unless you shave your hair right down.

Just how short do you plan to cut your hair?

I believe Dr Rahal has a good record for leaving patients with the minimum amount of scarring. I'm attaching a few photos which include a patient with short hair.

I plan on cutting my hair as short as the "buzz cut" if that's possible.

It depends how close that buzz is. Closer buzz than the patient with the close cut hair in the photos above?

I just had my translpant with Dr Rahal about 6 weeks ago and I can tell you first hand that my scar is healing very well.

He is definatley a master at what he does, that is why I chose him. As you know he is mentioned in the same breathe with about 6 of the best in North America all the time....for a reason and well deserved

Follow his post transplant directions like he tells you and your scar will heal as best it can. Genetics play a part I am sure. To be honest, I cant see the scar but my wife tells me it has healed very well

Go with Rahal and you will be in one of the best hands you can be.

    Good Luck

Rahal is really really good, but I know it depends on how short you want to cut your hair. Like if you want to cut it to a #1 a strip scar will show, but some people can go as low as #3 guard and will see nothing.

Dr Rahal is an excellent doc - Scaring is basically down to patient physiology.
