Minoxidil hair shed after 8-9 months

Hi Guys,

Ii have been using minoxidil 5% solution for the last 8 months and it has given me great results. I have continued to used without missing a session. But from last 3 - 4 weeks I have noticed that my hair shed started again and it has become worse now. Does any one encountered same issue? Is second shed common ? Any comments will be highly helpful.

You switch brands? Or could mean you need Finasteride as same happened to me than I added Finasteride and all grew back.

Minoxidil is only stimulant and can’t stopped DHT, so what else are you using?

Apart from Minoxidil 5%, I'm not using any other. My doc prescribed me to use Fin, but I'm scared to start using it. I even got topical finastride solution with Minoxidil mix (through compound chemist), but I read on the internet that topical will still cause side effects.

My confidence is really going down because of this second shed. Do you think I should start using Fin ?
