History of baldness on either side of family increases risk of balding
DEAR MAYO CLINIC: Is it true that you inherit genes for baldness from your mother's side of the family? Is there anything that can be done to prevent or slow hair loss?

Yea.. Genetics. Get what you're dealt. Consider in 10 years or so we'll be able to alter DNA structures and genetic traits prior to child birth. Interesting.

EDIT: Implication: baldness will in time be prevented; prior to actual birth of child. Rather than cured.

Yeah you're right-could be worse I guess, although to me losing my thick luscious locks of old is so depressing. I remember my old barber saying "man you ain't never going bald" ten years ago, hmm lying bastard.

Ay, ****. Not his fault though, you might've had a nice mane at the time!

    Were you happy, then?

We don't necessarily appreciate the things we have. We should then be grateful more often, for the things we do, rather than what were missing.

Don't mean to advertise, though I doubt I necessarily am..; 'Coping with Hair Loss in Everyday Life' thread, about twelve under this one. Good place to vent about everyday frustrations, should perhaps be a subforum so we can all vent anonymously.

We should be able to listen to each other in a compassionate way, and as well respond toe each other regarding typical or often encountered struggles concerning hair loss.
