Is the length of a waiting list a good indication of the quality of a clinic?
There are two hair transplant clinics I am considering.

One clinic has offered me a hair transplant in a month's time. The consultation was with a consultant, was free and took place within a couple of days of contacting them. The caveat to this is that it is a clinic that has only been open a few months. They say that they carefully select the best surgeons from all over the UK to perform the surgery. They say that the surgeons are experienced.

The other one has said that they have a waiting list of 6 weeks for a consultation and of 3 months for hair transplant. All procedures are performed by the same surgeon who is a well established plastic surgeon. The consultation is with the surgeon (who is a doctor) doctor and has a fee.

Any advice would be great please.

    Hey

I think you might want press “ pause” and do some more research.

Quick one .... I would assume neither are IAHRS members?

Be careful man and take your time !

FYI - only use a HT surgeon who specialises in only HT... and not a clinic that opened up a few weeks ago but one who’s been established countless years with social proof and genuine testimonials / patients. Meet patients too !

Neither are IAHRS members but there do not seem to be that many members in the UK where I am from. Is it essential for a surgeon to be a member? The surgeon I am thinking of using has great testimonials on the website but few photo examples of his work. I've booked a consultation and am told I will see examples then of his work.

Anyone can put great pictures on their own website ... Many clinics even take pictures and examples off other clinics sites and use them and pass them off as their own. Ive had my pictures used yet again recently on another Turkish Clincs site..
Not essential to be in the IAHRS but its an important focus and starting point. You will need travel to get a quality HT. If you are expecting to get one in your local town and it be of top quality...... think again man. Dont be stupid, with all due respect - Research !!!!!!!!!
