Did finasteride maintain your hair at the front?
I have heard a ton of contradiction on this, some say it doesn't work at the front, some say it does. Are there any long time users who can tell me from their experience?

If you catch MPB early enough and you are a good responder yes. Everyone is different and responds differently.

The studys show that over 80% will at least stop losing hair on finasteride, but reading forums and listening to users stories it seems it is much more hit or miss than that. Like maybe 50/50.

From my own experience and those I know it will slow the loss for the vast majority of people but many will continue to get worse just much slower than if they weren't taking anything. Since most people's hairline is one of the more dht sensitive areas it's likely that those hairs are going to not respond as well to a reduction of 70 percent your still making dht the follicles are still being attacked by it just at a much slower percentage

I can oly speak for myself. The 12 months i used 1mg propecia and 6months 1/2mg (18months in total) it didn't stop my hairloss at all, especially not in the front.
