Occasionally shedding more than 100 hairs
On four separate occasions this year, I've shed between 100 and 115 hairs, including from showering (mostly) and during the day (usually by scratching).

Is it normal to shed that many hairs every once in a while?

I'm 26 (soon turning 27), and have been using the Regenpure shampoos for nearly a year.

Shampoo rinses the product out. Also, unfortunately, I've found that over washing hair strips
    the oils.

The only shampoo that has weak scientific evidence to back it is Nizoral. It's thought to have
anti DHT properties, but there is not a lot of science backing this up.

I'm not sure what you mean by over-washing. Do you mean by shampooing daily or shampooing more than once a day? I shampoo once every evening.

The brand I use is Regenepure and their shampoos supposedly contain anti-DHT properties too - also don't contain harsh ingredients.

Could the shedding possibly be a (positive) reaction to the ingredient?

Hey man! First off, I would like to suggest that if you're counting the hairs individually on a daily basis in order to get that specific number, I don't think this is a good approach. At the very least, it can't be helping your anxiety levels any - and increased anxiety isn't good for your overall health or the health of your hair. I say this as someone who suffered from OCD and other anxiety related issues for years, so I'm speaking from experience.

The most important factor to consider though is that it's perfectly normal to lose 100 hairs a day on average... Somedays it could be more, somedays it could be less. I don't think what you're describing is any cause for concern.

If what you're experiencing isn't attributed to Male Pattern Baldness, there are other things you can do to help the overall health of your hair: Manage your stress/anxiety levels, exercise, eat a healthy, well-balanced diet, drink lots of water, make sure you're getting the appropriate nutrients/vitamins, etc.

Also, depending on your thoughts and views on Finasteride, that's something to consider as well.

    Best of luck!
