Another reason Nizoral probably doesn't help with hair loss:
A thought just crossed my mind: if Nizoral was designed to treat dandruff, don't you think that researchers would have noticed if it also restored hair during clinical trials?

Another claim is that it removes DHT from hair follicles; does Nizoral have the chemical structure to do this?

There are a few studies people have cited I think that showed keto in niz does inhibit DHT somehow but like you I remain a little skeptical. I have seen little evidence nizoral alone can make any significant difference although nothing that exists now make a major difference aside from slowing it down

might as well just take .05 finestride orally and will have 50x more power than wasting time with that chemical horrible shampoo.

To be more precise, nizoral is believe to block the DHT receptor from binding to DHT. It does not bock the formation of DHT.
I agree it is probably much better to take oral finesteride. it is easy if it does not cause any side effect. Unfortunately it causes side for me.

it is supposed to be blocking the receptor, but not the formation

Anyone know where I can get this stuff from in the UK?

Ketoconazol shampoo is what you are looking for. Nizoral is actually sold in the UK but it is a behind the counter 'medicine' at the discretion of the pharmacist.

If that sucks just buy it off of eBay or something. :)

I use this stuff myself for dandruff, didn't know it did anything for hair, but it works well for dry skin and also psoriasis.

If you do some research online there are formal studies showing that it does indeed help with hair loss (both the shampoo and the cream). Nizoral should be used as an adjunct treatment to a main treatment such as fin/dut- you need to shampoo anyway so why not use something that has proven benefit no matter how small.
