Increase finasteride dose update and nizoral question

So after many years of great success with propecia, I bumped up from .25 that I was taking to 1.25 / day. The .25 didn't seem to work anymore.
I seemed to be doing better.... so I decided to add minx. 5%

Lots of shedding going on right now, I hope and believe my hair will come back but I guess there is a small part of me with some fear. Normal I guess.

I added nizoral 1% about a little while back, used it maybe twice or three times.... 4 or 5 days apart. I seem to shed more when using it so my question is can nizoral damage your hair? I don't have any experience with it. I shampoo and leave it on my hair for 4-5 min or so. Then rinse. I'm thinking to drop it altogether.

Nizoral is a great medicated shampoo that helps a lot of people. However if you over use it, it can dry out your hair and make it easier to damage. It does not seem as though you are over using it though. For the 1% version, twice per week is fine. Maybe you should try using it only once per week. You do need to be using a good quality moisturizing conditioner. If you have not been doing that, you need to start.
