The patient was 32 years of age at the time of his hair transplant. He started losing his hair (hairline recession) slowly since his mid 20's.
He has no family history of hairloss other than some nominal thinning on his father's side. The patient feels that he has the worst hair loss in his family on both sides. The patient has not used and is not currently on any hair loss medication. However, he has had 4 PRP treatments throughout the course of his 12 month post-op growth timeline.
Given the patient's family history, level of thinning and hair loss pattern, Dr. Rahal felt that the patient was a good candidate for surgery. The patient has plenty of donor hair available for subsequent procedures if necessary.
