Hair loss is an on-going process. The initial design that the doctor does must last a life time. This is an example of a patient who came back for follow-up 10 years later, and the hairline design is very appropriate, it's not too low, it frames the face very nicely and very age-appropriate. Unfortunately, these days, a lot of hairlines are set too low and a lot of grafts are utilized all in one session. However, hair loss is an on-going process. As one gets older, very low hairlines do not frame the face nicely and do not become age-appropriate. Further, significant gaps of hair loss develop behind the transplanted area and if somebody over utilizes a lot of hair grafts in one session, they may not have enough hair in the future to cover the hair loss, and it may not look natural.
So the goal of this photo is to demonstrate not to over utilize grafts in one sitting. Age appropriateness and naturalness at any age is extremely important. Dr. Sean designs the hair line in such a way that will frame your face nicely, is natural, is age-appropriate and does not over utilize the grafts, so as you lose more hair in the future, you have more to donate.
