    Weight Lifting

Ok, so everyone has already asked this question several times "can heavy weight lifting accelerate hair loss. Alot of people say no and alot of people also have their own theories, such as, "heavy weight lifting = higher test levels = more DHT. But if more DHT in your hair was the only problem i'm just asking is there ANY type of shampoo or other hair product out there which have ingredients strong enough to cleanse DHT out of your hair?

Polysorbate 80 is supposed to clean DHT from the hair follicle........however much of this is hearsay - although there maybe a few small studies to back this up somewhere.

Finasteride is currently still your best bet to keep DHT levels down. Dutasteride/ Avodart is also a DHT lowering medication but is not yet clinically indicated for Male Pattern Baldness.

Nioxin claims that it can "clean" DHT out of your hair, so maybe you could look into that. I have read and personally experienced increased shedding on that shampoo, but it did make my scalp feel VERY clean.

You could also look into Emu Oil. I tried this out before and it did help thicken some peach fuzz I was growing in with propecia/minoxidil, but I really was too lazy to put it on so I discontinued it. The best part is that it doesn't smell! Also, if you work out, I would recommend putting it in right before you head out. Just massage it on your scalp, because you're probably gonna be showering after you come back from the gym (at least I did!)

I have never read any data to suppport a claim that Nioxin cleans DHT out of the hair. That actually sound a little silly to me. The tingling sensation after usage is caused by a menthol like ingredient that many shampoos contain.

I don't think it does Doc, I'm just stating what they say on their product. However, it does make your hair smell nice =)

yeah it definitely does, the bigger and strong I got, the more hair I lost. I have diffuse thinning, so basically all of my hair is sensitive to androgens. I'm thinking of stopping lifting and just do more cardio.

Are you currently taking any DHT or estrogen blocker?

Are you talking to me or diffusing?
I am currently not but I am about to go to my dermatologist and see what he reccomends.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA Try lifting weights on Propecia you'll have about as much luck as a 7 year old girl, choose one or the other - DHT is something like 7 times more potent than testosterone, if you block DHT you will not have the capacity to grow muscle/lift weights.

I respect your right to an opinion but not everyone reacts the same way to meds.
There is a guy who posts on another forum (***) named Peapoddy and he's using fin and minox and the guy is super ripped.
So not everyone who takes fin ends up with the strength of a "7 year old girl"

Do you sell propecia or something? You seem to jump to its defence a fair bit.
