Not sure If i am losing my hair or not

    Hey folks,
Couple months ago I noticed that my hair on top of my head is really thin which made me freak out.The hair on the front is incredibly thick,Thicker than sides of my head while the other parts are really thin making it look like I'm balding at a rapid speed. My fathers side all have heads full of hair.On my mums side only my Granfather is bald. One of my cousins also started to go bald couple years ago.So I asked my mum whats gonna happen. She said that ever since i was a little kid hair on top head was always a little thin and told me to not worry about it.Showed me some pictures it was infact a little thin but i wasnt satisfied.I went to a doctor she said whatever and gave me Minoxidil that gave terrible eczema type thing so I stopped using it.I need your expert opinion.

Am i really going bald or is it really just something im born with.Is it MPB or some kind of alopecia.
Btw:The picture is taken today.I shaved my head 2 weeks ago and an hour ago.I was gonna put more pictures but site wont let me.Back of my head and my crown is fine and has a lot more hair.It gets thicker as it reaches my crown. The front part is what really worries me.

Hi there, from the looks of the pictures it does look like you are "diffuse" balding , diffues balding is where the hair on the top of your head gets thinner rather than receding.

You're quite lucky as you're hairline and crown are strong so if you here your hair out I imagine you wouldn't notice the thin part in the middle, also in the 3rd picture where your hair is so sbirr you can't even tell at all.

You could keep taking the minoxodil but I'm in the boat as you, don't really want to be taking drugs as you never really know what they are doing to you, my advice would be start saving your money and get a hair transplant in a few years when it gets worse, hair transplants are getting better and cheaper every day and you probably won't need one for a good while jusgijf by your pics.

Best of luck and stay positive!
