My hair has been depressing me for quite awhile. Should I just give it #1 buzz or what? I'm a bit lost here guys and could use some support!
Okay guys I need your advice

Buzz it for sure. Or at the bare minimum cut the sides/back way shorter.
Having hair > Buzzed/shaved > grown out with diffusion
As for your skull shape, there is absolutely no way for us to discern what yours is like with what you've provided. Unfortunately, I'm uncomfortable with the shape of my skull. Regardless, I'm shaving when it gets to where yours is at.Comment

You'll survive, brah. Shave it off, hit the gym, and consider treatments if you want to maintain stubble up top for a while.Comment

Hi.
First let me start by saying that I consider myself a long time member here, if not by way of join date, at least by way of post count. And I too could make a thread and get 0 replies in days of it being around. So what i'm trying to say is, don't get down because you made a thread one day and got 0 replies that day.
Okay now my feedback, I buzz my head with a 1 guard and it minimizes the appearance of my MPB as much as possible, though my receding hairline is noticeable and I can no longer hide my MPB. The one guard is the best haircut for us diffuse NW3-4's with receding hairlines.
I suggest to get on finasteride 1mg a day and Rogaine twice a day. I think with your hair loss, if you use these two for a good period of time, 8-12 months, you will see good thickening of your hair.Comment

Well I suggested a #1 for that very same reason. A #1 would most likely blend your top hair with your side hairs and minimize the appearance of your thinning hair. Most likely just give you the look of a badly receded hairline, instead of receded hairline + horseshoe pattern.
BTW, if you're not going to get any lineup or anything like that, why not just shave your own head? I have not been to the barber shop since I was a teenager. There's no point in going because i'm not going to get anything fancy. Why pay $10 or what ever it is they charge now, for nothing, basically something you can do on your own? Just get your own hair clipper and do it yourself.Comment

As someone said above, invest $70 in a pair of clippers and just cut it yourself every other day for a fresh, clean look.
Looks better, guy.Comment

As others have said, #1 the sides and back, #2 the top. Do it yourself, buy a pair of clippers and a good mirror to see the back of your head. It looks better now than in the first photos.Comment
