NEW YORK (AP) - Mary Fickett who played the compassionate nurse Ruth Martin on ABC's "All My Children," died at the age of the 83rd
The veteran star of the drama of days died Thursday at his home in Virginia, the network said.
Fickett was a member of the original cast of "All My Children," which premiered in 1970, and for decades, she appeared with Ray MacDonnell, who played her husband on the screen, Dr. Joe Martin, the fictional town of Pine Valley, Pennsylvania, she withdrew from the program in 2000.
