    New drug testing processes

Here's a video that shows something cool. It discusses the possibility of making a living copy of your own tissues and organs that can be placed through a testing cycle that is quicker, and doesn't use live humans or animals. It may expedite testing to find out cures for diseases quicker. What's cooler is that it creates a personal test subject in the likeness of oneself to test how an individual will react to drugs. This may help tell if hair treatment procedures will work on an individual basis.

Each of our bodies is utterly unique, which is a lovely thought until it comes to treating an illness -- when every body reacts differently, often unpredictably, to standard treatment. Tissue engineer Nina Tandon talks about a possible solution: Using pluripotent stem cells to make personalized models of organs on which to test new drugs and treatments, and storing them on computer chips. (Call it extremely personalized medicine.)
