I get what you're talking about man. It's not a dumb question, it's just hard to have faith in treatments when your hair keeps falling out while you're on them. I don't have the answer for you, maybe you can tell by the kind of hairs that are falling out as some people claim they mainly shed miniaturised hairs when experiencing a "finasteride shed" but I can't give you a clear answer.

I myself am on RU (6 months), fin & minox (both 4 months) and I have thinned out quite a bit as well. We just have to play the waiting game, there's nothing else we can do really.

As the title says, this is probably a dumb question.. But oh well! I'll ask anyway.

How do you know you are shedding when you are on a hairloss treatment like finasteride, Rogaine etc. if you were already shedding like crazy before because you were loosing your hair? I mean, the reason we start the treatments are because we are thinning/receding/shedding right? So how does one know they are shedding from treatments?

Sorry for the dumb question, haha.
