Hey. Looking for honest advice.
I’m 47and have had two hair transplants:
• First HT: FUT – 2000 grafts in 2014 (photos attached)
• Second HT: FUE - 3000 grafts in 2018 (photos attached)
I’ve noticed ongoing diffuse thinning through my mid-scalp and crown. The front framing from my transplants is still there, but I feel the native hair behind it has continued to thin over time.
I’ve never used finasteride (big mistake) but am considering starting now. I also wondered if I still have enough donor supply left for a future procedure.
Attaching current top, front, crown and donor photos plus older transplant photos.
TIA

- Is it too late for finasteride to make a difference?
- Rough estimate of grafts needed if I had another transplant?
- Does my donor area still look decent?
- Would you continue treatment and consider a third HT, or go shorter/shaved?
