Early crown balding?

Hey folks,

My temples receded a few cm this year out of the blue. They seem to have stabilized and Ive been using minox at front and back. Im concerned my crown is thinning, but could it be a minox shed? I wasnt 100pc if it was just a whorl earlier in the year but it looks like its starting to expand.
