Noticed a mild recession for the past half a year and thinning on one side of the hairline with miniaturizing hairs for the past 4 months. Also noticing a lot of hair fall, and have lost a lot/majority of volume in that one corner (intriguingly it's on the left side, where as I see that most people experience more hair loss on the right side). One half of the family is NW5-6 whilst the other half retains a NW1-NW2 hairline for the majority of their lives.
Have finally decided I would like to start treatment, and am seeing a hair specialist next week. However, I probably won't be able to get fin prescribed in my country rn as only a urologist can prescribe it. I will therefore have to wait another couple of weeks before I'll be able to start fin.
I want to ask whether there is any point in taking saw palmetto as a DHT-inhibitor for these couple of weeks before starting fin? Have already purchased Nizoral shampoo and going to start applying it soon.
