Am I in denial of losing hair, or is it just a REALLY steep mature hairline? (17)

    Hey.....

I'm 17, and am very paranoid. My parents won't take me to anyone to get my hairline examined, and honestly, considering things I've done to my body in the past combined with the fact that a few uncles I have are bald makes me sure that I am experiencing baldness. I'm just so confused, though! Many different posts with the same-ish situation I've seen have different answers, so I thought I'd suck it up and post my own.

A bit of backstory, though. Back in November of 2016, I crash dieted and lost 40 pounds in 2 weeks, which can't have been good for my hair. I also don't think I've eaten right since. My sleep schedule since then has been all over the place, I haven't regained much of the weight that I lost, and I've been stressing over several different things, including depression. I'm taking Welbutrin for that, and I've heard that it can cause hair loss, but it's rare, so I dunno...

For the past year and a bit, I was shampoo-ing every day, which I've heard is bad. I stopped a week or two ago, though, so I'm taking care of that.

Basically, I don't know a lot. I'd rather not go bald this early in my life, but if I'm destined to, I'd just like to know, ya know? Crush that last bit of hope that I won't so that I can embrace it or whatever.

Thanks for anything you can tell me, even if it's that I'm just a little *****.
