Can AA trigger AGA or MPB?

Hello all. Let me just get right to it and tell my story. I'm 27, was diagnosed with AA in September 2016 and was injected with steroids. It helped regrow the hairs in that one spot but the rest of my hair has been thinning like crazy! I noticed the thinning at the same time I was going through AA. When I shower or wash my hair before I sleep, there are tons of hair on my hands. I work in a professional setting, so I always have to style my hair every day and wash it before I sleep. Also for the past couple days I've been finding maybe 15 strands of hair on my pillow when I wake up.

I have been to the dermatologist at least three times and have seen two different doctors. In the first two visits, my dermatologist didn't even look into my hair fall when I told him about it. He just said it doesn't have anything to do with Alopecia and told me it was probably nothing. I requested a different doctor after that and this time, she said I probably had MPB but wanted to check my iron level and thyroid. Got test back, all normal. My hairline isn't really receding too much and I'm losing hair on my sides. Are these normal symptoms? Again, my hairfall started about the same time my Alopecia Areata started. Is this really MPB or could it be AGA? Please help!

Just to help understand my attached pictures: The first picture was taken around late September when I first noticed my AA. Second picture shows my AA at its worse, taken late October. Third picture shows the regrowth in my AA spot but the rest of my scalp starting to thin, taken late November. Four through Six was taken 1/15/17, AA spot is pretty much the same but rest of my scalp still shedding. Six through Nine taken 1/17/17 showing thinning on my sides.
